Overview
Telecoms Civil engineer / Civil gang
We are hiring for an award-winning company offering an exceptional opportunity to join them on a long term basis.
Start date: Immediate start available.
Pay: Telecoms Civil engineer will be working on a competitive day rate through a CIS setup.
Responsibilities
- Civils Operatives perform various tasks, including digging trenches, moving building materials and tools, setting up signs and safety barriers, assisting with duct laying and road re-instatement.
- Civils Operatives pay close attention to health and safety protocols, including wearing protective clothing and carrying out point of work risk assessments.
- Understand and apply permitting / noticing and how that affects site set ups.
- Understand Health and Safety regulations ensuring alignment with client expectations.
- Past experience dealing with track work, block-ages, box building, etc.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Full UK driving license 6 points or less
- BT Openreach experience with a Valid NOPS card with up-to-date qualifications visible
- NRSWA StreetWorks operative card with the appropriate reinstatement elements
- Civils Operatives will need to have NRSWA, SA006 and SA002 as a minimum
- Mini digger licence is a bonus
Physical requirements
- The ability to lift objects regularly
- The ability to bend and stretch with comfort
- The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day
