Pro-Resourcing Ltd is currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer on behalf of our client based in Gloucester.
The position is full time, permanent.
Working hours: Monday to Thursday 07:30-16:00 and Friday 07:30-13:00.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct internal and external audits to industry standards.
- Partner with Engineering and Production teams to resolve technical issues and ensure compliance with customer specifications.
- Support New Product Introduction using APQP frameworks to identify risks and establish robust inspection methods.
- Coordinate and approve PPAP packages, including initial sample inspections and run-at-rate validations.
- Develop, review, and maintain DFMEAs, PFMEAs, and Control Plans throughout the product lifecycle.
- Analyse quality data using SPC to monitor process capability, reduce variation, and eliminate recurring defects.
- Lead structured problem-solving initiatives using 8D methodologies and Lean tools to prevent repeat issues.
Experience
- Proven experience conducting internal and external (supplier) audits.
- Strong working knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards (essential).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Practical experience applying APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC.
- Engineering-related qualification (HNC, HND, or Degree) or 4 years of experience as a Quality Engineer
