About the Role:
A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced payroll professional to join a thriving team as a Payroll Adviser. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in payroll bureau environments, looking to bring their skills to a fast-paced and supportive setting.
What Youll Be Doing:

Processing high volumes of payroll data provided by clients using payroll software, ensuring all deadlines are met.

Maintaining strict confidentiality and following data security protocols at all times.

Ensuring accuracy and efficiency in payroll processing, particularly when working to tight schedules.

Calculating employees net pay using either software or manual methods, applying HMRC rules and rates.

Communicating PAYE liabilities to clients and assisting with BACS payments on scheduled dates.

Reconciling payroll data to produce accurate month-end and year-end reports.

Submitting RTI returns to HMRC, including P45, P46, FPS, and EPS forms.

Managing downloads from HMRC and pension providers (e.g., tax codes, student loan notices, opt-out dates).

Keeping accurate and well-maintained payroll records.

Staying up to date with payroll legislation and adapting to changes accordingly.

Supporting clients with auto-enrolment compliance and reporting.

Liaising with HMRC, DWP, and relevant external organisations.

Being aware of CIS responsibilities, timelines, and compliance requirements.
Were looking for someone who brings:

A minimum of 34 years experience working within a payroll bureau environment.

Excellent time management skills and a proactive, positive approach.

Strong communication skills both written and verbal.

The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

A passion for delivering excellent client service and maintaining high standards of accuracy under pressure.
