I am currently assisting a highly respected firm in their search for an experienced and dynamic Audit Partner to lead engagements with clients operating under US reporting standards to join their team in London. As an Audit Partner, you will play a pivotal role in managing a portfolio of high-profile clients, ensuring the highest standards of audit quality, and mentoring a talented team of professionals. This role requires an individual with expertise in US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, combined with strong commercial acumen and a commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a diverse portfolio of clients operating under US reporting standards, ensuring full compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of audits, managing risk and ensuring audit quality.
  • Cultivate and maintain robust client relationships, providing strategic advice and identifying business development opportunities.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Collaborate with other partners and senior management to steer the strategic direction of the firm.
  • Stay current with changes in US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, ensuring the firm’s compliance and competitive edge.

Qualifications/Experience Required:

  • A qualified Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with Responsible Individual (RI) status is essential.
  • Extensive experience with US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
  • Proven track record of managing a portfolio of clients and leading successful audit engagements.
  • Strong technical knowledge of audit and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in mentoring and developing team members.
  • Commercially astute with a strategic mindset and the ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
