I'm working with a global, Big 6 firm to hire an Audit Manager into one of the strongest insurance audit teams in the UK. This is a proper market-leading practice - complex clients, serious scale, and a reputation that genuinely carries weight in the insurance sector. Despite the size and brand, the team itself is surprisingly grounded. High standards, high performance, but without the constant internal politics or unnecessary noise you sometimes expect at this level.
The role
- Managing audits across a portfolio of insurance clients, taking ownership from planning through to completion, and acting as a key point of contact for both clients and junior team members.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Managing and delivering insurance audit engagements end-to-end
- Leading, coaching and developing seniors and juniors
- Reviewing work, managing risk, and maintaining technical quality
- Building strong client relationships within the insurance sector
- Working closely with senior management and partners on complex engagements
The team
This is widely regarded as the top insurance audit team in the UK. You'll be surrounded by people who genuinely know their stuff and take pride in the quality of their work. If you're serious about being seen as an insurance audit specialist, this is one of the best platforms available.
What they’re looking for
- Proven insurance audit experience (this is non-negotiable)
- ACA / ACCA qualified (or overseas equivalent)
- Currently operating at Manager level, or a strong Senior Manager-ready profile
- Confident managing people, clients, and deadlines
- Ambitious, commercially aware, and comfortable in a high-performing environment
Why consider it?
- Market-leading insurance audit exposure
- Global brand and career credibility
- Clear progression and long-term opportunities
- Challenging, interesting clients rather than box-ticking work
- A team that takes the work seriously, without taking itself too seriously
If you're an insurance audit specialist and want to sit at the very top end of the market while still working with normal, switched-on people, this one is worth a conversation.
