For a large services company focusing on water, waste, and energy management, we are recruiting an interim Finance Manager for at least 3-months. Reporting to the Finance Director and starting immediately, the Finance Manager will partner with budget holders to oversee the accounting for high-profile heating network projects. The interim Finance Manager will lead management accounting and statutory reporting processes and will manage one direct report.
Main Duties:
- Preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts
- Monthly management accounts production and analysis
- Management of Government Grants associated with the project including ensuring proper accounting treatment and compliance with Grant funding requirements
- Statutory accounting and Group reporting for two entities
- Business Partnering with Project teams and their budget holders
- Liaison with external Auditors
- Management and support of x 1 Finance Assistant
Person Specification:
- Full or part-qualified ACCA, ACCA or CIMA
- Management Accounting, budgeting and forecasting experience
- Ideally experience with grant funding arrangements and reporting
- Non-profit, government, or utilities experience
- Strong experience of accounting systems and ledgers
- Strong experience of MS Excel and Sage
- Ability to start immediately and work independently and proactively
