A well-established and highly regarded accountancy firm is seeking an Audit Supervisor to join its busy and growing Audit team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Senior looking to step up, gain exposure to complex clients and play a key role in delivering high-quality audit services.
What you will be doing as an Audit Supervisor:
- Managing audit jobs end-to-end, including planning, fieldwork and finalisation
- Reviewing work completed by junior staff, providing clear feedback and supporting their development
- Delegating effectively, setting clear objectives and deadlines, and helping to rebalance workloads where required
- Building strong relationships with internal teams and external clients
- Managing expectations of partners and senior staff to ensure timely completion of work
- Communicating with clients (on-site, via phone and email) to resolve queries
- Escalating any issues or concerns to managers and partners
- Coordinating with other departments to support seamless delivery
- Maintaining compliance with internal processes
- Keeping technical knowledge up to date and meeting CPD requirements
- Acting as the senior team member on complex clients, including international groups
- Leading the planning process for smaller assignments (materiality, risk assessment, test design, budgeting and timetabling)
- Allocating and briefing junior staff, answering queries throughout the audit process
- Completing fieldwork for complex audit areas (e.g., stock, debtors, creditors, intangibles, investments, provisions)
- Monitoring audit progress against budget and adjusting workloads as needed
What you will need to succeed as an Audit Supervisor:
- ACA/ACCA qualified (time and exam), ideally with up to 2 years' post-qualification experience
- Experience with large or complex consolidations; IFRS experience is highly advantageous
- Caseware experience is strongly preferred (not essential)
