A growing insurance business is seeking indirect tax support on a temporary basis. This role is purposed to manage indirect tax (VAT & IPT) compliance obligations, reporting to the Head of Tax with a dotted line to a senior finance stakeholder, managing with outsourced advisors and relations with tax authorities.
Responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Review IPT returns
- Raising and dealing with all queries relating to VAT payments
- Review and test Indirect Tax reporting processes and systems and recommend best practice, overseeing any improvements and controls implementation
- Support with transfer pricing
The successful candidate:
- Demonstrable, hands on experience with indirect tax compliance and advisory, working with PESMs
- Experience within the insurance sector and working with insurance premium taxes advantageous
