For the largest and most exciting transport projects in Europe, we are recruiting a Cost Manager to support the Head of Cost and Estimating at a Programme and Contract level. This role will support the management of budgets, actual costs, forecasts, and Earned Value Management (EVM) to support the delivery of the overall project.
Main Duties:
- Analyse and verify contract level cost performance, ensuring data reflects Programme performance for reporting.
- Validation and communication of cost performance data submitted by delivery teams to Programme.
- Assist development of contract level performance reports including Earned Value Management (EVM), forecasted costs, and Estimate at Completion (EAC).
- Support the Head of Cost with team adherence to cost performance processes and procedures.
- Provide technical support to the Project Controls Managers on cost performance, and work closely with the supply chain to develop defined work-streams to enhance cost performance.
Person Specification:
- Experience in cost management or project controls within a major project lifecycle.
- Experience in managing and producing performance reports including EVM, forecasts, and budgets.
- Experience in using cost management systems including Prism, and EcoSys.
- Experience in core project controls including baseline maintenance, schedule management, cost performance, change and risk management, and performance reporting.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts including NEC, amendments, early warning notices, and workflows.
