A financial services business will be hiring an in-house Indirect Tax Manager into their small and London-based tax team. Reporting to, and working closely with an experienced Indirect Tax Director, this position is purposed to take ownership of indirect tax affairs for UK&I while supporting with some international entities, liaising with HMRC, external advisors and industry bodies as required.
The Indirect Tax Manager will manage end-to-end indirect tax processes, from obtaining data to managing indirect tax compliance and tax technology/automation and indirect tax advisory in roughly equal parts.
We are looking for:
- ACA/CTA qualification or equivalent (open to in-house or practice backgrounds)
- Solid UK VAT compliance and advisory experience essential, with international experience considered advantageous
- Accustomed to operating in a multinational financial services environment with experience of managing and following PESMs
- Specific experience in the life insurance or long-term savings industries considered advantageous
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to present and liaise at senior levels
- Technological proficiency, with experience using tax technology tools considered advantageous
