We are seeking an Asset Process Engineer to support a portfolio of mature upstream oil and gas production assets, focused on diagnosing late-life operating challenges and delivering solutions in collaboration with site and multi-disciplinary teams. This is a hands-on technical consultancy that requires strong root-cause problem solving across corrosion constraints, aging equipment, changing fluids, and tightening emissions requirements. The role is London-based 4dpw + international travel to operational sites. All travel expenses will be covered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Familiarisation with the design and peculiarities of each asset
  • Conduct investigatory site visits, working closely with OIMs and operators to identify operating challenges
  • Develop SMART frameworks for addressing identified challenges with priority given to safety and production output
  • Propose pragmatic and feasible solutions with supporting analysis
  • Coordinate and support testing to validate proposed solutions
  • Present findings and recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders
  • Work with process and other discipline teams to develop selected solutions through to implementation
  • Provide operational and troubleshooting support as required
  • Contribute to process optimisation initiatives and provide technical input to projects

Must have the following:

  • Process Engineer with 10-15+ years’ experience working on late-life assets within oil & gas and/or petrochemicals (onshore and/or offshore)
  • Proficiency in both French and English (essential)
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing pragmatic, safe, “out-of-the-box” process engineering solutions
  • Operational site experience with hands-on problem-solving capability
  • Strong practical working knowledge of process engineering tools, particularly Unisim
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills for senior stakeholder engagement
  • Working knowledge of international standards
  • Experience in the design of typical equipment used in oil and gas processing facilities
  • Willingness to travel internationally (~30% of time)

Please do not apply if:

  • You do not have 10+ years' process engineering experience in oil and gas or petrochemicals
  • You are not fluent in both French and English
  • You do not have operational site experience
  • You are not willing to travel internationally
  • You are a theoretical engineer without hands-on problem-solving delivery experience
