We are seeking an Asset Process Engineer to support a portfolio of mature upstream oil and gas production assets, focused on diagnosing late-life operating challenges and delivering solutions in collaboration with site and multi-disciplinary teams. This is a hands-on technical consultancy that requires strong root-cause problem solving across corrosion constraints, aging equipment, changing fluids, and tightening emissions requirements. The role is London-based 4dpw + international travel to operational sites. All travel expenses will be covered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Familiarisation with the design and peculiarities of each asset
- Conduct investigatory site visits, working closely with OIMs and operators to identify operating challenges
- Develop SMART frameworks for addressing identified challenges with priority given to safety and production output
- Propose pragmatic and feasible solutions with supporting analysis
- Coordinate and support testing to validate proposed solutions
- Present findings and recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders
- Work with process and other discipline teams to develop selected solutions through to implementation
- Provide operational and troubleshooting support as required
- Contribute to process optimisation initiatives and provide technical input to projects
Must have the following:
- Process Engineer with 10-15+ years’ experience working on late-life assets within oil & gas and/or petrochemicals (onshore and/or offshore)
- Proficiency in both French and English (essential)
- Proven track record of developing and implementing pragmatic, safe, “out-of-the-box” process engineering solutions
- Operational site experience with hands-on problem-solving capability
- Strong practical working knowledge of process engineering tools, particularly Unisim
- Excellent presentation and communication skills for senior stakeholder engagement
- Working knowledge of international standards
- Experience in the design of typical equipment used in oil and gas processing facilities
- Willingness to travel internationally (~30% of time)
