Pro-Pak Foods is a major supplier of delicious ready meals to many of the UK’s leading supermarkets and convenience stores. Working with our customers, our chefs have created a menu of more than 200 quality meals. We have an opportunity for a Production Team Leader to join our thriving and growing operations team and take our production to the next level.

As our new Production Team Leader, you will provide team leadership across your lines, develop and maintain a positive working environment, and take ownership of training and developing your team members regarding standard operating procedures, equipment instructions, process work instructions, and required records.

Role responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining management information systems to aid the management of and reporting of KPIs, including Effective Labour Utilisation and Stock Control Management Systems
  • Ensuring that all of your team can demonstrate their competency in carrying out tasks and operations to the required company standard by undertaking relevant assessment and competency reviews
  • Ensuring colleagues on shift execute the agreed production plan safely, on time, and in full, meeting high food safety standards, minimum waste, good yield management, and producing high-quality products
  • Performing standard yield, quality, volume, and cycle time reporting and detailing reasons for failure to meet standards (either positive or negative)
  • Ensuring designated areas are well maintained, providing clean and safe working conditions
  • Reporting all incidents and unsafe conditions and contribute to investigations and follow-up actions as necessary
  • Maintaining and setting good housekeeping standards within designated areas while on shift
  • Working on Manufacturing Execution Systems
  • Working on advanced manufacturing and work order management
  • Knowing when to ask for support from your Area Operations Manager

We are ideally looking for someone who has:

  • Previously worked within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment
  • Team leadership experience
  • The ability to take ownership and accountability for their team
