Working hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of SHE in day‑to‑day duties and communicate with directors, senior managers and staff about Health and Safety Act obligations.
  • Promote best practice in health, safety and environment across all employees, contractors and visitors.
  • Develop and implement health and safety performance systems and procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments and apply control measures.
  • Manage and review emergency procedures, first aid facilities, safety signs, PPE and equipment.
  • Monitor health and safety practices and report gaps.
  • Complete weekly departmental checks and monthly site audits.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, near‑misses, and other safety-related events.
  • Consult and communicate any health and safety matters with employees.
  • Support delivery of health, safety and environmental initiatives on site.

Qualifications

  • Positive work attitude and good IT literacy skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience in risk assessment and knowledge of MAC, ART, and RAPP.
  • Experience in a health and safety role with working knowledge of UK safety, health and environmental law.
  • NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent preferred.
