About Pro-Pak Foods

Pro-Pak Foods is a major supplier of delicious ready meals to many of the UK’s leading supermarkets and convenience stores. Our chefs work with our customers and have created a menu of more than 200 quality meals.

We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to join our HR team. The main purpose of this role is to provide a client focused, comprehensive and professional people service to colleagues and managers by maintaining and developing processes, and ensuring adherence to policies, procedures and legal requirements.

This is a site based generalist HR role with lots of exposure and opportunity to explore multiple areas of HR. You must be able to work as a key member of a small team.

As an overview, duties will include:

  • Provide practical advice and direction for line managers so that they implement people practices in compliance with CPC Group policy and statutory employment legislation as well as providing a positive, consistent employment experience.
  • Provide an advisory service to colleagues ensuring they are fully aware of their contractual terms and conditions and CPC’s Group policies.
  • Promote colleague engagement and positive mind-set agenda.
  • Advise and provide support to managers to ensure the correct procedures are followed when carrying out grievance / disciplinary / performance improvement investigations, hearings and attendance management.
  • Act on relevant HR KPI information in a timely manner itemising trends and generating it in a format that is readily available for managers to review e.g. sickness absence data.
  • Administer and maintain accurate information within the HR system.
  • Support the delivery of people plans and HR KPI targets.

Knowledge and experience:

  • Part CIPD qualified or working towards HR qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing business.
  • Working knowledge of computer systems such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and HR systems.
  • Experience working within a generalist Human Resources function.
  • Working knowledge of employment legislation.
  • Experience working with diverse teams.
