Ellie's Place is a new children's home supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We are looking for caring, reliable and resilient Waking Night Residential Support Workers to help provide a safe, nurturing and stable environment throughout the night.
Your Role
- Provide supervision and support to young people during the night
- Promote the safety and wellbeing of children and young people
- Respond appropriately to incidents, concerns or emergencies
- Complete welfare checks in line with care plans and risk assessments
- Maintain accurate records and handovers
- Support with household tasks and preparation for the day ahead
- Safeguard and advocate for young people at all times
What We're Looking For
- A caring and child centred approach
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Strong communication and observation skills
- Reliability and professionalism
- Experience working with children and young people (preferred)
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
Essential Requirements
- Aged 21+
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS check
- Willingness to complete mandatory training
Desirable
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards)
- Experience in residential childcare, social care, youth work or support work
