Ellie's Place is a new children's home supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We are looking for experienced, passionate and child-focused Senior Residential Support Workers to help lead shifts, support colleagues and create a safe, nurturing home where young people can thrive.
Your Role
- Lead shifts and support the day-to-day running of the home
- Build positive relationships with young people
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Support education, independence and life skills
- Mentor and support Residential Support Workers
- Liaise with families, social workers and other professionals
- Complete and oversee high-quality records and reports
- Safeguard and advocate for young people at all times
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with children and young people in a residential setting
- Ability to lead by example and support colleagues
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Calm, resilient and child-centred approach
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and sleep-ins
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
Essential Requirements
- Aged 21
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Experience within residential childcare
- Enhanced DBS check
- Right to work in the UK
