Delegated Authority Risk & Bordereaux Administrator

Pro MGA Solutions Ltd. (‘Pro.MS’) was established in 2016 and provides a bespoke and/or packaged solution to stakeholders in the Delegated Underwriting Authority (DUA) sector covering;

  • Incubation of start-up and/or existing MGAs
  • MGA Facility whereby Pro.MS uses its regulatory licenses to trade as an MGA on behalf of its client(s)

Utilising the various offices within the Pro network, Pro.MS is able to deliver multi-territory solutions, supporting local underwriting teams supported by regional and centralised delivery centres across multiple time zones. The service provides Risk Capital the support required to manage their DUA portfolios as well as a local trading platform offering their products to local distribution partners.

Purpose of Role

Pro.MS has an exciting opportunity for a Delegated Authority Risk & Bordereaux Administrator to join the growing team to provide essential support on delegated books of global business.

The role is centered on supporting the existing Facilitation team and its clients. The postholders will be accountable for meeting deadlines for processing of cover holder risks on a daily basis and completing premium and claims bordereaux.

The role will require communication with Brokers and Insurance Capacity on a regular basis and supporting the Operational Facilitation Manager to maintain and develop excellent client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • To support the Operational Facilitation Manager in the following areas:
  • Processing risks accurately and in a timely manner onto the system. Seasonality of the business will mean the individual will be expected to produce quality and quantity during the high-volume periods associated with 1 April, 1 July, 1 October, and 1 January business
  • Referring and liaising with Capacity providers as and when required
  • Drafting proposals to be issued to Brokers.
  • Entering location information onto the system with detailed Total Insured Values
  • Reviewing policy documentation to ensure information detailed in the Policies are accurate. If not, having the confidence to challenge content on documents
  • Sending weekly Policy chaser emails to brokers
  • Allocation of Premium and tax details onto the system
  • Documenting Claims information and preparing monthly reports
  • Bordereaux Production – To assist and produce the Risk Bound and Paid Premium Bordereaux on a monthly basis.
  • Monitor and manage email inboxes to ensure SLA’s are met

Skills and Experience

  • Able to work under pressure and prioritise workload to meet pressured deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexibility and willingness to work additional hours during renewal periods is a key requirement of this role
  • Experience working with Microsoft packages, especially Excel
  • Experience of the Risk administration function
  • Experience of Bordereaux Processing
  • Ability to produce accurate and clear documentation
  • Willingness to learn
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to independently research issues and assess the findings
  • A minimum of 3 years insurance experience is essential, from an MGA environment is desirable
  • Proven experience managing teams, demonstrating leadership and the ability to motivate others
