We are seeking a CNC Programmer. This is a full-time salary position with a local facility focusing on metal fabrication and electrical power distribution.
The perfect candidate for this position would have:
- 1-2 years of CNC operator and programming experience
- Ability to work well with technology and have great attention to detail
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training or associate degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience in CNC programming and machine operation
- Proficient in G-code and CAM software
- Strong understanding of materials and machining properties
- Ability to read technical drawings and use inspection tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties:
- Program CNC machines (lathe, mill, bending, cutting, or punching machines) using software
- Set up machines, including tooling, fixturing, and calibration
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T
- Operate machines if needed and monitor production to ensure parts meet specifications
- Perform in-process inspection using micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools
- Troubleshoot and correct machining issues as they arise
- Maintain equipment and adhere to safety protocols and quality standards
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams for process improvements
