We are currently recruiting Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for ongoing work based in Skelmersdale. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and dynamic transport operation specialising in secondary distribution, with regular work and consistent shift patterns available.

Pay Rates

  • AM Starts (03:00 - 08:00): £20.00 per hour (£22.42 per hour including holiday pay)
  • PM Starts (15:00 - 20:00): £22.00 per hour (£24.66 per hour including holiday pay)

Shift Patterns Available

  • 4 on 4 off
  • 5 on 3 off

The Role

As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for completing store deliveries, ensuring goods are delivered safely, efficiently and professionally. Key duties include:

  • Delivering roller-caged goods to customer locations
  • Loading and unloading using tail lifts
  • Completing daily vehicle checks in line with company procedures
  • Accurately completing delivery paperwork and reporting defects
  • Maintaining communication with the transport team throughout your shift
  • Representing the business professionally at customer sites

What We're Looking For

Applicants must:

  • Hold a valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence
  • Hold a valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
  • Have a minimum of 12 months' Class 1 driving experience
  • Have a sound understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Regulations
  • Be flexible to cover both store deliveries and trunking work when required
