PROMAN Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and reliable HGV Class 2 Driver to join a major project in Leiston, Suffolk.

HGV Class 2 Driver (14T) Wanted
Location: Leiston, Suffolk
Pay Rate: Β£20.00 per hour (UTR)
Start Date: Early September 2026
Working Hours
7:00am to 6:00pm, with overtime available
Tuesday to Saturday
Potential to work Tuesday to Sunday
Overtimes
After 6pm 1.3x
Saturday 1.5x
Sunday 2.0x
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 14T HGV Class 2 vehicle on site
- Carry out daily vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Complete vehicle logs and relevant documentation accurately
- Communicate professionally with site personnel
- Assist with loading and unloading when required
- Follow all health & safety procedures at all times
- Report any incidents, defects, or accidents promptly
Requirements
- Valid Category C (Class 2) Driving Licence
- ALLMI licence/certification for the crane attachment, likely Hook β below 20t (Accredited with CSCS)
- Proven experience driving HGV vehicles within a construction environment
- Fewer than 5 penalty points preferred
- Mechanical background advantageous (basic daily maintenance)
- Vehicle remains on-site only (no public road driving)
- Must be able to pass the mayor project vetting process (clearance checks)

The security vetting process can take several weeks to complete, depending on how quickly candidates provide the required information.
