We are currently looking to recruit a Grounds Maintenance Team Leader to join our friendly and hardworking landscaping team.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively manage and lead members of the Landscaping teams on a day-to-day basis.
- Manage landscaping projects from start to finish.
- Perform hard landscaping labouring duties on commercial sites, whilst managing and supporting accompanying team members. Duties include, but are not limited to: preparing the ground, lifting heavy objects, raking, digging, shovelling, planting trees/shrubs, turfing, kerbing, walling, paving, mixing cement, cutting etc.
- Perform soft landscaping duties on commercial sites, whilst managing and supporting accompanying team members. Duties include, but are not limited to: hedge cutting, grass cutting, strimming, leaf blowing etc.
- Ensure that you, and your team members always adhere to Health & Safety procedures and policies.
- Ensure sites are organised, tidy, and safe at all times.
- Ensure equipment is used correctly and safely, is well maintained, and is suitably stored by yourself, and team members.
- Effectively and safely operate a digger/excavator, and/or dumper.
- Strong leadership capabilities.

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Landscaping/Groundworks Senior Team Member/Team Leader/Supervisor/Manager (essential).
- A ‘can-do’ attitude, with a passion for always providing an outstanding service (essential).
- Have a strong understanding of the importance in following Health & Safety policies and procedures and ensure that yourself, and your colleagues always adhere to these (essential).
- Be able to adhere to company standards (essential).
- Be happy to work all year round (essential).
- Valid SSSTS or SMSTS certificate (essential).
- Full Manual UK Driving Licence (essential).
- Experience working with relevant tools/machines (preferred, but not essential).
Additional Information:
- Annual salary of up to £31,000.
- Daily working hours: 6am to 4pm Monday to Friday.
- Overtime: available (depending on business needs), but not compulsory.
- Bank holiday working is required (excluding Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Day). Total holidays per year is 28 days.
- Following a successful probation period, there are many opportunities to grow and develop within the company.
