Pro Insurance has an opportunity for a Senior Claims Technician to join our Complex Claims Team, processing claims for an existing client. We have UK offices in London, Glasgow, Gloucester, Horsham, and Liverpool, with a flexible hybrid working policy. The role is primarily remote but may require travel to our EL/PL claims hub or other locations as needed.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Complex Claims Manager, handle a caseload of EL/PL disease claims, including asbestos-related cases such as mesothelioma, lung cancer, asbestosis, pleural thickening, and other respiratory conditions.
  • Manage diaries and correspondence within SLAs.
  • Liaise with solicitors and brokers, developing effective relationships.
  • Maintain accurate records for audits and regulatory compliance.
  • Identify potential fraud.
  • Support the team’s achievements and business objectives.
  • Provide technical advice to external clients and internal colleagues, acting as a referral point.
  • Contribute to training, QA/QC, and coaching activities.
  • Participate in relevant projects and represent Pro professionally in the marketplace.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong technical knowledge of EL/PL disease claims, especially asbestos-related cases. Experience in other claims is a plus.
  • Excellent policy interpretation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of claims handling, fraud, and legislation.
  • Adaptability and strong relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to meet SLAs with accuracy.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring team members.
