Pro Gases UK is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Class 1 ADR Driver to join our rapidly expanding team. As a Class 1 ADR Driver, you will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient transportation of Liquid Carbon Dioxide using road tankers. You will collect daily from multiple biogas plants and deliver LCO2 to our customers located across the UK. This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary and attractive benefits package. This role includes Tramping with a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hold a valid Class 1 license with ADR certification, demonstrating a strong commitment to safety regulations and protocols.
- Execute all duties with an unwavering dedication to safety standards, ensuring the secure transportation of Liquid Carbon Dioxide.
- Record key information on deliveries using software to enable the administration team to invoice and share key documents with customers.
- Receive jobs and plan routes to be time and cost effective.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify and rectify any safety concerns promptly.
- Adhere rigorously to safety procedures and protocols during the loading, unloading, and transportation of liquid CO2.
- Continuously monitor and maintain the condition of ISO road tankers to ensure safe operation, reporting any issues promptly for resolution.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest safety regulations and industry best practices, attending training sessions and seminars as required.
- Prioritise safety not only for oneself but also for colleagues, customers, and the general public when operating within a variety of environments.
- Collaborate closely with the safety team and management to identify and implement safety improvements and initiatives.
- Maintain a strong understanding of emergency response procedures, capable of taking swift, appropriate action in the event of accidents or incidents.
- Participate in safety audits and inspections as necessary to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience driving Class 1 Vehicles, with a proven track record of efficient and safety-conscious operations.
- Possess a valid driver CPC and Class 1 ADR license, reflecting a deep understanding of safety regulations pertaining to the transportation of hazardous materials.
- Demonstrated commitment to prioritising safety in all aspects of the role, upholding the highest safety standards at all times.
