We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Machinist to join our clients growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual with experience in both CNC and manual machining to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment producing high-quality precision components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC and conventional machining equipment
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and specifications
  • Select and install tooling, fixtures and machine accessories
  • Load and run CNC programs to manufacture parts to specification
  • Monitor machining operations and make adjustments where required
  • Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments
  • Troubleshoot machining and assembly issues with engineering and production teams
  • Complete production documentation accurately
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
  • Support continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing and EHS initiatives

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years' machining experience
  • Experience operating both CNC and manual machinery
  • Strong understanding of machine shop practices and machining techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • HNC qualification or engineering apprenticeship desirable
