We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Temporary Finance Assistant to join our clients Finance team on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong numerical skills and an interest in finance to gain valuable hands-on experience within a supportive environment.

Benefits:

  • Hourly Rate: £13.50
  • 3 days per week (8 hours per day, 24 hours total)
  • Office-based role
  • Location: Sheffield, S9
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Contract: Temporary for approx 4 months
  • Working days will be agreed in advance based on workload and financial calendars
  • Flexibility is essential, with potential for additional hours when required

The Role:

Working closely with the Finance Director and wider finance team, you will help provide accurate and timely financial information to support business operations and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining accounting records in line with company procedures and statutory requirements
  • Assisting with monthly management accounts and financial reporting
  • Updating daily production and finance reports
  • Supporting forecasting, monitoring, and financial analysis activities
  • Processing credit notes and customer statements
  • Carrying out ad hoc finance administration tasks as required

What We're Looking For:

  • A proactive and enthusiastic individual with experience in finance
  • GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above)
  • Ideally a graduate or someone currently studying towards a degree
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
