Job Type: Permanent | Full-Time

Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm & Fridays 8am to 4pm

Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer, Plant Fitter, Heavy Plant Technician, or Diesel Mechanic looking for your next opportunity? Due to continued growth, they are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join their workshop team in Mansfield. The Role

Working within a busy workshop environment, you'll be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and rebuild of heavy machinery and associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strip down, inspect, overhaul, and rebuild heavy plant machinery
  • Diagnose and repair faults on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components
  • Carry out preventative maintenance and repairs to a high standard
  • Utilise diagnostic equipment and technical knowledge to optimise machinery performance
  • Ensure all work complies with company quality and safety standards

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience working on heavy plant machinery, diesel engines, hydraulics, or similar equipment
  • NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance, Land-Based Engineering, HGV Mechanics, or equivalent
  • Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Welding and fabrication experience would be advantageous
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Own tools preferred
  • Right to work in the UK
