Pro-Found Recruitment Solutions are looking to recruit a Goods In/Warehouse Operative for our client based in Normanton, WF6. Goods In/Warehouse Operative Benefits: Fixed Day Shift: Monday to Thursday 8:00am - 4:30pm & Friday 8:00am - 3:30pm 39 hours per week Paid weekly Pay Rate: £13.83 per hour Contract: Temporary ongoing Location: Normanton, WF6 Start Date: ASAPGoods In/Warehouse Operative Duties: Working within the Goods In department, receiving and checking incoming deliveries Checking goods against delivery paperwork and ensuring items are recorded accurately Computer-based administration, including updating stock records and processing warehouse information Picking large and heavy items ready for dispatch Packing and securely taping items ready for dispatch Handling large wooden items, cabinets and white goods Loading and unloading goods safely Checking items for accuracy and condition Following instructions and warehouse procedures Meeting daily production and warehouse targets Maintaining a clean and organised working environment Working independently and as part of a team Carrying out regular manual handling throughout the working dayGoods In/Warehouse Operative Criteria: Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential Previous Goods In or computer-based warehouse experience would be advantageous Comfortable using a computer and learning new warehouse systems Hard-working, reliable and punctual Excellent communication skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to follow instructions and work to set procedures Good work ethic and willingness to learn new skills Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Physically capable of carrying out regular manual handling dutiesPlease note: This is a physically demanding warehouse role which involves regular manual handling of large and heavy items. Candidates must also be comfortable carrying out some computer-based administration as part of their daily duties.
