Shipping Department/Office Manager required for a well-established, growing local business specialising in importing goods from China, Taiwan, and India. We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Shipping Department/Office Manager to take ownership of our busy front office and play a key role within the business. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable, respected local company and take on a key role with real responsibility and long-term prospects.

Role Overview:
This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has strong knowledge of international imports and office management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the day-to-day operations of the front office
- Full responsibility for shipping and import procedures, including: FOB, CIF, DDP, HS Codes
- Liaising with freight forwarders, customs agents, and suppliers
- Overseeing the UK office side of distribution
- Handling general office and administrative functions
- Managing financial and accounting processes, including: Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, Month End and Year End procedures
- Ensuring accurate documentation, compliance, and smooth workflow across departments
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience in shipping, imports and logistics
- Strong working knowledge of international import processes
- Confident handling office and accounting procedures
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Able to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
- Good communication skills and a professional approach
- Excellent IT skills
- Office management experience
