Our client, a well-established and internationally recognised engineering business based in Doncaster, is currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team on a temp-to-perm basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to secure a long-term position within a forward-thinking manufacturing environment.
The Role
Working primarily from the workshop facility in Old Denaby, you will be involved in the build, testing, installation, and commissioning of specialist machinery and equipment. Duties will include:
- Mechanical build and assembly of industrial machinery
- Assisting with mechanical design input
- Pneumatic design and panel/machine build work
- Small fabrication duties including welding, burning, and drilling
- Machine testing and fault finding
- Installation and commissioning work both in the UK and overseas
Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
- Strong mechanical engineering and pneumatics experience
- Knowledge of transmission drive assemblies
- Experience working with structural assemblies
- Basic hydraulic and electrical knowledge (desirable)
- A hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to travel nationally and internationally when required
Qualifications
BTEC Mechanical Engineering to HNC level or equivalent
International travel may be required for approximately 6 weeks per year, depending on project locations.
