We are looking for an Implant Finish Operative to join our client’s manufacturing team based in Sheffield.
Benefits
- Location: Sheffield, S9
- Hours:5 hours per week - Day shift - Monday to Wednesday 6am to 4pm & Thursday 6am to 3.30pm
- Pay: £15.25 per hour
- Contract: Permanent
This is a hands‑on production role involving the finishing and inspection of components to ensure they meet the required quality and dimensional specifications.
The Role
- Straightening, buffing, linishing, mop polishing and vibration polishing components
- Using linishing belts, Scotch-Brite and polishing wheels
- Carrying out detailed visual inspections and quality checks
- Using precision measuring equipment such as verniers, height gauges and shadowgraph equipment
- Loading and unloading components and moving materials around the department
- Completing production and timekeeping paperwork
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment
- Working as part of a team to meet production targets and quality standards
About You
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work
- Good hand and eye coordination
- The ability to carry out repetitive tasks accurately
- Good manual dexterity and grip strength
- A good level of concentration for detailed inspection and measurement
- Reliable attendance and good timekeeping
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
- A flexible approach to working across different areas when required
- Previous experience in manufacturing, polishing, linishing, finishing or quality inspection would be advantageous, although full training will be provided where required.
Please note: This is a physical, hands‑on role involving periods of standing, repetitive use of hands and wrists, and manual handling.
Trays of components can weigh approximately 12-15kg, with bags of polishing media weighing up to 20kg.
