Pro-Found Recruitment Solutions are working with a well-established specialist glass manufacturer who are looking to appoint an experienced Production Manager to lead their busy manufacturing operation in Mansfield.

This is a hands‑on Production Manager position where you’ll have genuine responsibility for production performance, quality, people and continuous improvement across a specialist flat glass manufacturing environment.

The company has over 35 years’ experience within the industry and manufactures and supplies toughened, laminated, heat‑strengthened and decorative glass.

THE ROLE

As Production Manager, you will oversee the day‑to‑day operation of the production facility, ensuring that customer requirements, production targets and quality standards are consistently achieved.

  • Managing daily production across glass processing, toughening and laminating
  • Leading, motivating and supporting production teams on the shop floor
  • Ensuring production targets, quality standards and delivery deadlines are met
  • Monitoring workflow, productivity and machine performance
  • Identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities
  • Troubleshooting production issues and providing practical, hands‑on solutions
  • Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company policies and procedures
  • Coordinating daily production activities and prioritising workload
  • Supporting machine maintenance and operational efficiency
  • Developing and supporting the training of production employees
  • Driving a positive culture around quality, safety, performance and accountability

About You

We’re looking for an experienced Production Manager who is comfortable being hands‑on and visible on the shop floor, with a strong understanding of manufacturing operations.

  • Proven experience in Production Management within the flat glass industry
  • Strong knowledge of glass toughening, processing and laminating
  • Excellent leadership and people‑management skills
  • A practical, hands‑on approach to production management
  • Strong organisational and problem‑solving abilities
  • A good understanding of Health & Safety within a manufacturing environment
  • The ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A genuine focus on achieving high standards of quality and production performance
