This is a well-established and internationally recognised engineering business based in Doncaster, currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team on a temp-to-perm basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to secure a long-term position within a forward-thinking manufacturing environment.

Schedule

  • Hours: 40 Hours Per Week | Early Finish Fridays
  • Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 17:00 & Friday: 08:00 – 14:00

Contract: Temp to Perm

Location: Doncaster, DN12

Salary: £38,000 – £40,000 DOE

The Role

Working primarily from the workshop facility in Old Denaby, you will be involved in the build, testing, installation, and commissioning of specialist machinery and equipment.

Duties

  • Mechanical build and assembly of industrial machinery
  • Assisting with mechanical design input
  • Pneumatic design and panel/machine build work
  • Small fabrication duties including welding, burning, and drilling
  • Machine testing and fault finding
  • Installation and commissioning work both in the UK and overseas

Candidate Requirements

  • Strong mechanical engineering and pneumatics experience
  • Knowledge of transmission drive assemblies
  • Experience working with structural assemblies
  • Basic hydraulic and electrical knowledge (desirable)
  • A hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility to travel nationally and internationally when required

Qualifications

  • BTEC Mechanical Engineering to HNC level or equivalent

International travel may be required for approximately 6 weeks per year, depending on project locations.
