Pro-Found Recruitment are recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to work on the late shift for our client based in Grimethorpe, Barnsley, S72.

  • Warehouse Operative Details
  • Shifts: 7am to 3.30pm Monday to Thursday & Fridays 7am to 2.30pm
  • Total: 39 hours per week paid weekly
  • Start dates: Monday 27th July 2026 – please do not apply if you are not available to start on this date or have holidays booked in the next 12 weeks as this is the crucial training period
  • Pay Rates: £13.50 per hour – rate includes an attendance bonus based on 39 hours worked each week
  • Contract: Temporary to Permanent based on performance, attendance and client requirement
  • Location: Grimethorpe, Barnsley, S72
  • Warehouse Operative Duties
  • Picking panels ready to be assembled
  • Loading and unloading trolleys with wooden panels and spares
  • Quality checking of materials being picked
  • Loading assembly lines with parts and components
  • Using hand scanners
  • Working with wood
  • Following instructions
  • Working on your own and as part of a team
  • Minimum daily requirements (picking targets)
  • Warehouse Operative Criteria
  • Previous warehouse/picking experience essential
  • Hard working, reliable and punctual
  • FLT licence or experience preferred but not essential
  • Machine Operating experience preferred
  • Experience of operating hand scanners essential
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Good work ethic and prepared to learn new skills
  • Please note this is a very physically demanding role and requires lifting heavy items, pushing a trolley, being on your feet and lots of walking as part of the day to day duties
