Pro-Found Recruitment are recruiting a Production Operative for our client based in Grimethorpe, Barnsley, S72.

Production Operative Benefits

  • Monday to Friday Rotating shifts – Days 6am to 2pm, afters 2pm to 10pm and Nights 10pm to 6am – these shifts rotate each week and Fridays are an early finish
  • Hours: 39 hours per week paid weekly
  • Start date: Monday 27th July 2026
  • Pay Rates: £15.38 for days/afters & £16.36 for nights
  • Contract: Temporary to Permanent after 12 weeks based on performance, attendance and client requirement
  • Location: Grimethorpe, Barnsley, S72

Production Operative Duties

  • Working in the processing plant
  • Operating and loading machinery
  • Operating saws
  • Quality checking of materials and finished products
  • Packing and taping items
  • Working with wood and heavy worktops
  • Following instructions
  • General Housekeeping
  • Working on your own and as part of a team
  • Minimum daily requirements (production targets)

Production Operative Criteria

  • Previous assembly/production/manufacturing experience essential
  • CNC or machine operating experienced preferred but not essential
  • Able to work rotating shifts
  • Hard working, reliable and punctual
  • Experience of joinery/carpentry preferred but not essential
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Good work ethic and prepared to learn new skills
  • Please note this is a very physically demanding role and requires regular manual handling as part of the day to day duties**
