We are looking for dedicated workers to help harvest the 2025/2026 daffodil crop at Varfell Farm, near Penzance in Cornwall. The season runs from late December to early April (Easter). Picking daffodils is a physically demanding job, carried out outdoors in open fields in all weather conditions. The role involves bending, walking on uneven ground, and lifting and carrying crates of flowers. A good level of fitness and stamina is essential.

Work Pattern

  • Work is typically Monday to Saturday, with Sundays off.
  • Working hours depend on crop volume and customer orders, with an average of 8 hours per day and 30–60 minutes unpaid breaks.

Requirements

  • Must work to a high standard of quality and efficiency.
  • No previous experience required – full training provided on site.
  • Must have proof of Right to Work in the UK.

Pay Rates

Season starts in June. We offer a rate of £12.21/hour, with bonuses based on performance and picking speed.

Accommodation

On-site accommodation available in shared caravans (4–6 people per unit). Cost: £74.62/week, deducted from wages. Agency support is available on-site to assist workers.
