Due to an uplift in volumes across our clients North West operations, we are looking to recruit multiple Class 1 Drivers to support ever increasing customer requirements.

Role Overview:

Class 1 HGV Driver - Store Deliveries & Trunking

Shift Pattern:

5 on & 3 off on a rotational basis (flexibility on this is possible) AM start times between 03:00 and 08:00 PM start times between 15:00 and 20:00

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of roller-caged goods safely and professionally
  • Completion of daily vehicle checks
  • Reporting vehicle defects
  • Maintaining communication with the transport office
  • Providing excellent customer service
  • Driving responsibly
  • Operating tail lifts and moving roller cages into stores
  • Adhering to site-specific delivery procedures

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum 12 months Class 1 driving experience preferred but not essential
  • Valid LGV C+E licence
  • Up to date CPC qualification
  • Valid Tacho
  • Good geographical knowledge of UK road networks
  • Working knowledge of drivers' hours regulations and working time directives
  • Ability to work independently
  • Flexibility to undertake store delivery and trunking duties as required
