We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Engineer to join the team based at our site in Chartham, Kent.
Main Purpose of the Role: The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining machinery and equipment performance across all packhouses, to minimise downtime and ensure production runs smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Perform planned and reactive maintenance on all packing and grading equipment.
- Keep machinery clean and in good working order in compliance with hygiene and BRC standards.
- Record maintenance activities accurately in the system and submit documentation within required timescales.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors, reporting issues promptly.
- Support team flexibility by covering shifts as needed.
What we are looking for (Qualifications):
- Previous experience in engineering or maintenance, ideally within a food production environment.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- Computer literacy and awareness of food safety requirements.
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure.
General Information:
- 5 Shifts per week from a 7-day shift pattern.
- Pay Rate from: £14.00 - £17.86 DOE.
- Overtime available from: £17.50 - £22.33.
- Must have Proof of Right to Work.
- Own transport due to location.
- Possibility of being a Temp to Perm Role.
