Our client is looking for experienced Team Leaders to join their team near Canterbury. The role is working on a weekly rota, so a flexible approach to work is required as the business operates on a 7 days basis. Shifts are 12 hours a day. Pay rate: DOE.
Responsibilities
- Ensure optimum product grade outs and accurately complete all relevant production documentation during the full shift length.
- Engage, manage and motivate the team on the line to achieve optimum productivity and fruit utilization.
- Engage the team on performance and ensure all staff issues are raised in a timely manner.
- Ensure teams are productive and organized.
- Work as an effective team, utilize key team members to keep the line productive and minimize downtime during changeovers.
- Ensure production plans and stock sheets are followed.
- Provide daily updates and reports to the Packhouse Manager.
- Notify management of potential order shortages or issues as soon as possible.
- Maintain area of responsibility to BRC/Customer standards.
- Ensure safety and hygiene standards are maintained and adhered to.
- Ensure packed product complies with customer specifications.
Qualifications
- Good reading and writing English standard.
- Good emotional intelligence (EI).
- At least minimum experience as a Line Leader in a packhouse.
Other Requirements
- The role involves some manual handling and the ability to work in cold storage conditions on a daily basis.
- The role requires an alert disposition, working in the vicinity of PPT and moving machinery.
- Travel to other company or off-site meeting locations may be required from time to time.
- Possibility of this being a Temp to Perm role.
