About You
Qualifications are flexible. ACA, ACCA or CTA would be ideal, but they're more interested in finding someone with the right depth of trust tax experience than ticking a particular qualification box. Strong ATT-qualified or QBE candidates will also be considered. You’ll ideally have:
- Strong experience working with UK trusts within an accountancy practice or tax environment
- Experience preparing trust accounts and tax returns
- A detailed understanding of different trust structures and their tax implications
- Good knowledge of IHT, including periodic and exit charges
- Experience managing client relationships and your own workload
- Confidence dealing directly with trustees and other private clients
- Strong technical judgement and a commercially minded approach
- Agricultural or landed estate experience would be particularly useful, and CCH experience would also be beneficial.
Why this role? Because it gives you the chance to work on genuinely interesting trust and estate work within a growing team, while still offering flexibility, progression and access to senior decision-makers. As an employer, we are committed to ensuring the representation of people from all backgrounds regardless of their gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, race, religion, ethnicity, age, neurodiversity, disability status, or any other aspect which makes them unique.
