I'm working with a longstanding accountancy and tax advisory firm that is looking to appoint an Outsourcing Senior Associate into its Central London team.
This is a strong opportunity for a qualified ACA or ACCA accountant who enjoys management accounts, statutory accounts, client contact and cloud accounting, and wants to join a firm with real heritage, a strong culture and the backing of a growing Top 35 accountancy group.
The firm works with entrepreneurial businesses, private clients and international groups, with particular strengths across technology, venture capital and corporate finance and international advisory work. The Role
The Role
As Outsourcing Senior Associate, you will support a varied client portfolio across management accounts, statutory accounts, VAT, bookkeeping review, forecasting and client advisory work.
You will also help supervise junior team members, support client onboarding and contribute to process improvements across the department.
Responsibilities will include:
Preparing and reviewing monthly and quarterly management accounts
Preparing and reviewing statutory financial statements under FRS 105, FRS 102 1A and FRS 102
Preparing consolidated accounts where required
Reviewing bookkeeping and accounting processes carried out by clients or junior team members
Preparing and reviewing standalone and consolidated management accounts using systems such as Xero, Fathom, Excel and other software
Preparing and reviewing VAT returns
Supporting clients with software setup and ongoing systems queries
Responding to general and ad hoc client queries
Preparing initial fee proposals for new business enquiries
Managing new client onboarding, including AML/KYC, engagement letters and professional clearance
Supporting cashflow forecasting and budget preparation
Preparing or reviewing accounts for partnerships and sole traders
Training, supervising and reviewing work from junior team members
Contributing ideas to improve internal processes and operations
What They're Looking For
The firm is keen to speak with qualified accountants who are technically strong, personable and confident working directly with clients.
You will ideally have:
ACA or ACCA qualification
At least 3 years' experience in accountancy practice
Strong experience in outsourcing, management accounts or accounts preparation
Experience preparing statutory accounts under FRS 102 / FRS 105
Strong Excel skills
Xero experience, which is essential
Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical matters clearly
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines
A proactive, client-focused and professional approach
Experience with Fathom, MS Dynamics 365, SAP Business One, Sage 200cloud or similar systems would be beneficial
Experience with private equity, venture capital or Top 100 outsourcing clients would also be useful
