Are you an experienced Employment Tax professional looking for a role with real influence, client ownership and a clear path for progression? We're working with a leading Top 10 firm in London that is investing heavily in its Employment Tax offering and looking to hire a Senior Manager into a high-growth team. This is a standout opportunity to join a team with strong inbound work from UK, US and European clients, covering employment tax, payroll, VAT and accounting, while building deeper advisory relationships. With a clear leadership gap and succession planning in place, this role offers genuine long-term progression and the opportunity to shape the future of the team.

The Employment Tax Senior Manager Role: This is a client-facing, advisory-led position where you will act as a trusted adviser to a varied client base. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to support them through evolving employment tax requirements, including upcoming changes such as the move away from P11Ds towards payroll reporting. Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Act as the main point of contact for a portfolio of clients
    • Build and develop long-term, trusted relationships
    • Support clients on complex employment tax matters
  • Advisory & Technical
    • Provide high-level advice across employment tax matters including P11D transition, NIC, IR35 and wider compliance
    • Support clients with adapting to legislative changes, including payroll reporting developments
    • Contribute to growing areas such as share schemes and employment-related securities
  • Leadership & Team Development
    • Support the development of a growing team
    • Mentor junior staff and help build capability
    • Work closely with Directors and Partners on team growth strategy

  • Strong knowledge of P11Ds, PAYE, NIC and wider compliance
  • Exposure to advisory work and client interaction
  • Experience of employment-related securities or share schemes (desirable)
  • CTA qualified (or equivalent) preferred
  • Strong communication skills and relationship-building ability
Why This Role Stands Out:
  • Clear succession planning opportunity, with senior leadership expected to step back in the medium term
  • High volume of inbound client work, reducing reliance on business development
  • Opportunity to focus on advisory and relationship-led work, not just compliance
  • Exposure to international clients, particularly US and European businesses
  • Chance to shape and grow a team currently undergoing significant expansion
Culture & Environment:
  • Collaborative, supportive and people-focused culture
  • Partner-led with strong accessibility to senior leadership
  • Leadership team committed to mentoring and developing talent
  • Growing function with strong investment and clear strategic direction
  • Flexible working environment with a focus on outcomes

This is a rare opportunity to join a growing Employment Tax team at a pivotal stage. With strong demand, leadership visibility and clear progression, this role offers the chance to step into a position where you can make a real impact while advancing your career.
