I'm currently working with a highly regarded mid-tier professional services firm that is looking to appoint a Corporate Tax Senior Manager into its growing London team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a firm with an excellent reputation in the market, a strong international reach, and a genuinely impressive client base spanning complex, fast-moving and highly technical sectors. The team is continuing to grow, and they are keen to meet experienced corporate tax professionals who are looking for a broad, high-quality role with genuine influence, strong advisory exposure and a clear route towards further progression.
The position will suit a confident and commercially minded corporate tax professional who enjoys a mix of client leadership, technical review, advisory work and team development. You will work closely with Partners and Directors across a varied portfolio, taking ownership of key client relationships while also supporting the continued growth and development of the wider corporate tax team.
The successful individual will be responsible for managing a focused portfolio of corporate clients across a range of sectors, ensuring work is delivered to a high standard, within deadline and on a profitable basis. You will review corporation tax returns, tax provisions, tax accounting schedules and final tax computations, while acting as a key point of contact for clients and knowing when to involve senior leadership on more complex or sensitive matters.
Alongside the compliance and review element, there will be strong advisory exposure. This could include restructurings, international expansion, share schemes, tax efficiency projects, due diligence, transaction-related work and other wider corporate tax matters. The role offers real breadth, with the chance to get involved in high-quality technical work without losing the client-facing and commercial element that makes senior tax roles interesting.
There is also a significant people element to the position. You will help supervise, mentor and develop junior members of the team, contribute to internal training, support workflow management and play a part in the continued growth of the London tax offering. For someone who wants a visible role in a growing team, this is an excellent platform.
To be considered, you will ideally have:
- Strong corporation tax experience gained within practice
- A solid technical grounding across SME and larger corporate tax matters
- Experience managing a portfolio of clients and delivering work profitably
- The ability to build strong client relationships and communicate technical issues clearly
- Exposure to advisory work and strong report-writing skills
- Experience reviewing the work of junior team members
- ACA, CA, CTA or equivalent qualification
- Good Excel skills
- Experience with Alphatax would be advantageous
- Experience with CCH would also be useful
This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Corporate Tax Manager or existing Senior Manager to join a firm where progression is genuinely merit-based, the quality of work is strong, and the team is on an upward trajectory.
As an employer, we are committed to ensuring the representation of people from all backgrounds regardless of their gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, race, religion, ethnicity, age, neurodiversity, disability status, or any other aspect which makes them unique. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds to apply and would encourage you to let us know if there are steps, we can take to ensure that your recruitment process enables you to present yourself in a way that makes you comfortable.
