Are you looking for an opportunity to gain further exposure to Advisory work, whilst maintaining a strong split of Corporate and Personal Tax?

We are working with a rapidly growing Independent Top 40 accountancy practice with a strong presence across the South West.

You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality tax advisory work, working closely with clients and colleagues across a broad range of matters.

Offering a split of 60% Compliance and 40% Advisory, this role offers the best of both worlds.

Your role as a Mixed Tax Manager

  • Advising on business restructuring, HMRC tax clearances, tax planning, and financial and tax modelling.
  • Interpreting complex technical tax matters and providing pragmatic, commercially focused advice.
  • Supporting colleagues across a range of tax advisory projects.
  • Mentoring and developing junior members of the team as they progress into advisory work.
  • Keeping colleagues up to date with relevant developments and changes in tax legislation.
  • Building strong client relationships and contributing to the continued growth of the advisory offering.

What you'll need to succeed

  • ACA/ACCA and ATT/CTA qualifications.
  • A strong understanding of accounting principles and how they interact with tax advisory.
  • Broad technical knowledge across multiple areas of taxation, particularly income tax, corporation tax and capital gains tax.
  • An understanding of VAT, stamp duty and SDLT would be advantageous.
  • A genuine interest in researching and understanding complex technical tax issues.
  • The ability to translate technical tax matters into clear, practical and commercially focused advice.
  • Previous experience supporting or developing more junior team members.
