We're working with a highly regarded accountancy and advisory firm seeking a Private Client Tax Manager or Assistant Manager to join its growing Cambridge team.

This role offers an excellent mix of personal tax compliance, advisory projects and client relationship management, with direct exposure to Partners and the opportunity to further develop your technical expertise.

The Role

You'll manage a portfolio of private clients while supporting a variety of tax planning and advisory projects.

Working closely with Partners and senior tax professionals, you'll gain exposure to complex tax matters, build long-term client relationships and assist with the development of junior team members.

Responsibilities

  • Managing a portfolio of private clients
  • Reviewing personal tax returns and compliance work
  • Supporting tax planning and advisory projects
  • Building and maintaining client relationships
  • Reviewing and delegating work to junior staff
  • Conducting technical tax research
  • Working closely with Partners on client matters

About You

  • Private Client Tax or Personal Tax experience within practice
  • Experience reviewing and delegating work
  • Confident managing client relationships
  • Keen to develop advisory expertise
  • Previous supervisory or management experience preferred
  • Right to work in the UK without sponsorship requirements

You'll ideally have experience working with high-net-worth individuals, directors, owner-managed businesses, trusts and estates.
