Length: Initial 3 months

This role will work closely with the Programme Manager to develop and deliver a programme of minor and major works across an education estate. The programme includes planned maintenance and expansion projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical advice on property and construction across a range of capital projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.
  • Be responsible for defining the scope of a project and for its design, procurement, delivery, and successful handover from beginning to end.
  • Be responsible for the project budget, financial approvals and control, reporting, and administration of project finances.
  • Be responsible for regular progress reporting on each assigned project, managing successful delivery to specification, time, and budget.

Essentials:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a local authority, managing similar budgets.
  • Relevant project management experience within schools and local authorities is preferred.
  • A diploma or equivalent in a related discipline, or relevant experience in a similar position.
  • Valid enhanced DBS check for working in schools.
  • Valid driving licence and DVLA check.
