A small, fast-moving indie studio is looking for an experienced Unity Developer to help deliver a story-driven detective adventure game. The project blends stylised pixel-art visuals with puzzle-focused gameplay and a light, dry British sense of humour.

This is a practical, hands-on role for someone who enjoys building gameplay systems, tackling implementation challenges, and raising overall game quality as the title moves toward release. The role is studio-based in Walthamstow, London, with onsite working required. You will join the core development team on a debut title targeting release in early 2026.

Working closely with the game director, plus junior designers and artists, you will take features from early ideas through prototyping and into polished, production-ready gameplay. Day to day, you will own a broad range of Unity work: building reliable systems, maintaining a stable playable build, improving performance, fixing bugs, and keeping code clean and scalable as the game content expands.

You will also support junior team members by helping turn design concepts into working gameplay, including puzzle and mini-game logic. As part of a wider creative group that includes freelance contributors (art, animation, audio), you will help integrate assets, refine interactions, and ensure everything feels consistent.
