As an EDS Design Engineer within the Envisage Prototype Vehicle Operations (PVO) Team, you will be integral to all stages of the design and development process. You will liaise directly with stakeholders and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver robust engineering solutions. You are responsible for the inception, development, and release of 3D Harness design and packaging across a broad range of prototype projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create 3D CAD for Low Voltage (LV) and High Voltage (HV) Harnesses using CATIA V6.
- Collaborate with Chassis, Powertrain, and Electrical teams to design and package Wire Harnesses and associated components to required modeling standards.
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation for internal and client use regarding electrical installations.
- Support virtual build events and packaging activities to ensure designs meet cost, weight, and robustness targets.
- Oversee the release of parts and assembly structures into the Bill of Materials (BOM), ensuring data accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage project-level engineering change control activities and generate electrical BOMs.
