We are working with an established and growing estate agency that is looking for an experienced Property Lister to join its London team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, commercially minded property professional who enjoys meeting homeowners, carrying out valuations and winning new instructions.

The role As a Property Lister, you will be responsible for generating new business, attending property valuations and converting market appraisals into instructions.

You will act as a trusted adviser to homeowners, providing accurate market guidance, recommending effective pricing strategies and explaining how the agency can successfully market and sell or let their property.

The successful candidate will be confident building relationships, negotiating fees and delivering a high level of customer service throughout the instruction process.

Key responsibilities

  • Attend residential property valuations and market appraisal appointments across the assigned London area.
  • Provide homeowners with accurate and well-researched property valuations.
  • Win new sales and/or lettings instructions and achieve agreed listing targets.
  • Build strong relationships with homeowners, landlords, developers and local property contacts.
  • Advise clients on pricing, market conditions and the most effective marketing strategy for their property.
  • Present the agency’s services clearly and confidently, explaining its value and approach.
  • Negotiate agency fees, contract terms and sole-agency agreements.
  • Follow up valuation appointments and maintain regular contact with prospective clients.
  • Generate new business through prospecting, referrals, networking and local market activity.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the local property market, including recent sales, rental values and competitor activity.
  • Work closely with sales, lettings, marketing and administration teams to ensure properties are launched quickly and professionally.
  • Ensure property details, photographs, floor plans and compliance documents are completed accurately.
  • Maintain accurate records of appointments, instructions and client communications using the company CRM system.
  • Represent the agency professionally within the local community.

About you: We are looking for someone who is ambitious, personable and confident in a client-facing property role.

You will ideally have

  • Previous experience as a Property Lister, Valuer, Senior Negotiator or Estate Agent.
  • Strong knowledge of the London residential property market.
  • A proven ability to win instructions and achieve listing or valuation targets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the confidence to discuss pricing and fees.
  • A professional, trustworthy and customer-focused approach.
  • The ability to build rapport quickly with homeowners and landlords.
  • Strong organisation and time-management skills.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing to a wider branch team.
  • Confidence using property CRM systems and common office software.
  • A full UK driving licence may be required, depending on the territory covered.
