About the Role

Our client is seeking a Senior Civil / Structural BIM Technician to support the delivery of complex projects within the nuclear and defence sectors. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, contributing to design and engineering solutions across highly regulated environments, including infrastructure supporting air, land and maritime defence programmes.

About the Opportunity

This role offers flexibility with remote or office-based working options, providing the opportunity to contribute to technically challenging projects across all RIBA stages within secure environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage 3D BIM models using industry-standard software.
  • Produce accurate 2D drawings (layouts, sections, elevations, arrangements) from 3D models.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to capture and deliver design requirements.
  • Provide technical input and guidance across projects.
  • Support the implementation and continuous development of BIM processes and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 19650 BIM standards and Common Data Environment (CDE) protocols.

Key Requirements

  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
  • Strong ability to produce 3D CAD information within a BIM environment.
  • Good understanding of Civil & Structural engineering disciplines, with willingness to support Architectural and MEP design where required.
  • Experience working within a highly regulated environment (defence, nuclear, or similar desirable).
  • Familiarity with CDE platforms and QA systems.
  • Relevant qualification (minimum HND or equivalent).
  • Must be a sole UK National.
  • Willing and able to obtain BPSS security clearance.
  • Prior experience in defence or nuclear sectors is advantageous but not essential.
