We are seeking experienced 1st and 2nd Fix Carpenters to join our growing team delivering high-quality residential projects across the West Midlands. Our work ranges from extensions and structural alterations to full refurbishments and new build homes.

We are looking for reliable, skilled tradespeople who take pride in their workmanship and can work both independently and as part of a wider site team.

Role Responsibilities

  • 1st Fix Carpentry:
    • Installation of cut roofs and roof structures
    • Setting out and installation of floor joists and Posi-joists
    • Stud partition walls and structural timber frameworks
    • Installation of structural timbers and associated works
    • First fix staircases
    • Forming openings and structural carpentry in line with drawings
    • Working closely with site managers and other trades
  • 2nd Fix Carpentry:
    • Hanging internal doors (including fire doors)
    • Installation of skirting boards, architraves and mouldings
    • Fitting ironmongery
    • Kitchen fitting (including units, worktops and finishing details)
    • Built-in wardrobes and bespoke joinery
    • Final finishing and snagging works

Requirements

  • Proven experience in both 1st and 2nd fix carpentry
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
  • High standard of workmanship and attention to detail
  • Own tools and transport
  • CSCS card (preferred)
  • Ability to work safely and maintain a tidy site
